The Coffee Hub @ Singapore Polytechnic Graduates' Guild (SPGG)

Recently I went to eat at SPGG's "The Coffee Hub" with my family.
Their website: http://www.spgg.org.sg/dining/the-coffee-hub
Here is the menu:

I decided to get the "Spaghetti Chicken Bolognaise" and  "Chilli Dog" to share with my sister.

Spaghetti

For the spaghetti, the chicken is only in the sauce. The taste is average. I would honestly prefer the $4+ spaghetti from Holland Village Market's western stall (the one next to the chin chow/soya bean stall).

I had high hopes for this Chilli Dog as it looked super delicious on the poster at the entrance.
You can check out the poster at this link: http://www.spgg.org.sg/dining/fnb-promotions/item/399-best-hot-dogs-in-town

When we received it, I realised that the toppings are basically spaghetti sauce with cheese on top. The bread was not whole, so the whole hotdog fell apart when I tried to cut it in half. The chips on the bottom were most likely "Jack n Jill" chips.
Chilli Dog

Definitely do NOT recommend this to anyone.

This was the "Iced Tea" that came with the spaghetti. Hot tea with ice, a bit too sweet for my liking.

Overall, I would not order these particular items again.

Trip to Singapore's Southern Islands

Hey guys! So recently I visited Saint John's Island, Lazarus Island and Kusu Island.
I  went with my dad to explore and take photos!

Tips:
-Bring LOTS of water. There is no water/food on either island and it can get pretty hot in the noon. Wear sunblock and a hat if you are planning to walk around.

-Pets in carriers ARE allowed on the ferry, just be careful if you are letting them walk around the island (ground is BURNING HOT during noon time)

-Go during weekdays, its less crowded.

We purchased tickets at the Singapore Island Cruise booth at Marina South Pier.
You can check out ferry timings at their website. http://www.islandcruise.com.sg/

Trip to National Gallery Singapore

I recently went to the National Gallery with my friend. If you are visiting the exhibits in this museum, remember to head down to B1 to get your admission sticker. (Certain galleries are FREE for Singaporeans and PRs)

The lady at the ticket counter did not tell us that we had to get the admission stickers. (We were asking her about the free exhibitions available etc) When we went to one of the galleries (the free one), we were approached by a museum staff and she told us that we had to go back down to get our stickers. We ended up not doing that and just explored the rest of the museum. (Not looking at any galleries) I did fill up a feedback form regarding that and the museum contacted me saying that they are working on improving their system. (There were other people with the same issue)

You can check out the photos I took at my facebook page album-->

Check out some clips I took at the museum:

This museum has many photo-taking spots! The place is huge too! I would definitely recommend people, especially those who love arts or architecture, to visit this museum at least once.

Allegiant movie review

SPOILER ALERT

I really wanted to love this movie, but it was downright disappointing. If you havent read the books, im sure you will enjoy this movie more. The director basically changed the whole storyline. I expected changes, but not this much. They took away many scenes from the book and added many others that were not. Im glad he will not be directing the final movie "Ascendant".

"Allegiant" has good action sequences, most of which did not happen in the book. For example, the scene where they left the city and were being chased by Edgar, the scene where Tobias was in the aircraft and assumed he was heading back to the city, the scene where Tobias was being trained by Nita etc. One big action sequence they could have left in the movie, was the one where Nita tried breaking in to get something and Uriah got severely injured.

There were lots of humor throughout thanks to what they added to Peter's character. (Peter was not meant to be the 'funny guy' in the book) They could have left in scenes like Zeke and Tobias breaking Caleb out of prison. Tobias and Zeke had some interesting dialogue in that scene. (in the book) Also the exchange between Tobias and Peter.

I feel that in the movie, his (Tobias) character was really boring. Characters like Matthew and Nita were extremely different from the books. In the movie, Matthew is this secretary type character and Nita became a "soldier". Peter also turned good in the book, not helping David as shown in the movie. The director also changed the verdict for Marcus, Marcus was supposed to be banished, not get his memories erased. The whole GD and GP situation was also not as secretive as they portrayed it in the movie.

The movie also exaggerated lots of things. They pushed 'futuristic' too far and some things were a little weird, like the protective bubble thing and the liquid that Tris was suffocated by in the shower. In the book, the bureau was not that futuristic and they didn't use aircraft that often. Wish they kept the water and stone sculpture too. I found it interesting that when Tris was wearing the white dress with heels, she reminded me of Jeanine.

Overall, I would rate this movie 6/10. For goodness sakes, if you are making a movie based on a book, FOLLOW THE BOOK!

Glass Teapot with Infuser from Teasenz

Not long ago, Teasenz hosted a giveaway on their website and I was chosen as the winner! The prize for the giveaway is this gorgeous glass teapot with an infuser!

I sent my information over on 4 March 2016 and received the item today, 21 March 2016. A little over two weeks, which was what they told me in the beginning too! If im not wrong, they shipped it from China, so the time taken is as expected.

The GLASS teapot came properly protected. First, wrapped in a foam sheet, then covered in bubble wrap and placed in a cardboard box.
Click on the photos below if you want a clearer look. (it will show a larger version)

Gorgeous teapot! The handle looks a bit thin though. Hope it can support the weight of a full pot. First thoughts were that the glass looked/felt thin and fragile. (I know glass is 'supposed' to be fragile', but still.. it depends on the thickness)

Approximately 7.5 inches long.

From the left: cover/lid, diffuser, teapot.

The holes in the diffuser. I actually didn't notice the holes at first, I thought it was just markings in the glass. On closer look at the holes, the glass surrounding the holes makes it seem like I might find shards of glass in my tea. Thankfully there were none!

Decided to make some tea! This Zesta Nuwara Eliya Tea was given to me by my friend from Sri Lanka :D As you can tell, the box came apart >.<

This teapot is enough for two full mugs of tea (or any other drink you put in it.) Take note that the mug i used in the photo is shorter than a regular mug. Since the spout of the teapot is quite low, you can't fill up the teapot to its brim.

Love this teapot! However I will definitely make sure to be extra careful while handling it (especially when its full) since it is in fact made entirely out of glass.

Just decided to do a mini review since this is my first teapot and it looks so pretty <3
