Book Review: The Siren

The SirenThe Siren by Kiera Cass
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kiera Cass gave an interesting perspective on sirens, which is quite different from how other films and books portray them. Quite a emotional story. At first glance, you might think that this is just a standard romance story, but it is more than that. Romance is just a small part of the story. The relationship between mothers (Ocean) and daughters (Sirens) are the main focus. It shows how different individuals may have different interpretations of what 'love' is. Kiera also touches on the fact that the people who love you, may not necessarily be your own flesh and blood. Really enjoyed reading this! Glad that Kahlen and Akinli reunited in the end, but I would have loved to read more about Aisling when she returned.
